Voice and Style Activity

Our friend Beatrice is having a great day out on the lake today. Clear skies, calm waters; it's a perfect day for some canoeing! The sun is warm and refreshing after such a long winter. At the lake, you'd never know that it snowed just last week. All of it is already melted. The weather is great and the water is warm, we wish we could join Beatrice and enjoy the sunshine too!

Writing Voice Class Exercise

Samantha Goodgrades, a former Shepherd Communications student, is taking big strides in the field of Filmmaking. The indie film she spent a year working on has won her "Best New Director" at the Sundance Film Festival in Park City Utah. Samanthas film, a romantic comedy, focuses on two people who attend a liberal arts college in a town with many coffee shops. The town was based off of Shepherdstown. Samantha describes the award as "such an honor to receive."
