Samantha Goodgrades, a former Shepherd Communications student, is taking big strides in the field of Filmmaking. The indie film she spent a year working on has won her "Best New Director" at the Sundance Film Festival in Park City Utah. Samanthas film, a romantic comedy, focuses on two people who attend a liberal arts college in a town with many coffee shops. The town was based off of Shepherdstown. Samantha describes the award as "such an honor to receive."
